Joy's Tavern - Mount Joy, PA - Bar # 95

The road to beer bliss brought the Retired Guys through Mt. Joy, PA today and to an old watering hole now open under new ownership.  Joy's Tavern is a neat and well organized pub with twelve beers on tap that includes the usual 3 semi-beer selections of Coors Light, Miller Lite and Bud Light. The other 9 taps feature a good range of suds to keep most beer lovers happy.

The bright spot of the day was being greeted by an old friend serving the beer.  It is always one of the great simple pleasures in life to get reacquainted with friends you haven't seen in far too long.  Jen not only smiled constantly and served beer expertly, but she also educated these two old dogs on new tricks on the iPhone with IOS 10.  What a plus for a bartender!

Another plus for this place was in one of the dining rooms the booths each had a TV.  There once was a sports bar on Columbia Avenue named Rookies with the same amenity.  I loved it then and I love it now.  Completing the complex was a rear patio and rear elevated deck.

Joy's is definitely worth a return trip to experience the food and hopefully seeing a friend again.
